뮈렌: 천년의 여정 | 한국버전

Can see a lot of passions put into making this game.
Beautiful and detailed design, visually stunning effect and use of vibrant colour.
With accessories that act as Character's decoration at the same time.
Personally, this had the best graphic in mobile game for me till now.
then again, I don't usually play visually beautiful rpg...
Very worth a try if your impression of screenshot is already good, it's a whole league difference in-game.

交錯戰線 | 繁中版

Everything in this game felt very polished for me. The interface to navigate around is clean. The character's equipments, skills and leveling are all packed on the same page and arranged orderly, with clever use of popup.
The presentation is just so clean simple, with impressive responsiveness and little loading time to instantaneous that makes me feel spoiled. Take persona5x as an opposite example, it had a beautiful presentation but you'll need to go back and forth when navigating through different stuff with a few button and it just doesn't feel "fast", its emphasize is on aesthetic. Making it fast might just make it feel cheap even.

The gameplay is traditional turn-based rpg with placing 5 units on a 3x3 board. There is currently a horizontal 2x1 spaced unit and a vertical one, which pique my interest whether the game would have 2x2 unit in future as a condition for very strong unit.
There's also a shared mp bar that forced you to strategize, prioritize and timed which unit to use skill.
And a burst gauge unique to every unit that might let them use burst attack, synch combine 2 unit to 1, or summon different kind of mecha for specific unit(ranging from 3* to 6*).

And all this for the initial stage of the game! If the developer managed to introduced more mechanic without breaking the game, it might just become something really special. I have a lot of expectation on this game. But for now, I'll have to do some story reading...

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE | Global

Nikke is an interesting one for me. For starter, its gameplay reminded me a combination of arcade rail shooter and light gun such as "Jurassic park","house of dead", "ocean hunter" and "time crisis", which I have fond memory of. And Nikke really should make one of those in arcade!

As far as story goes, I'm more of gameplay mechanic person(platformer, action, shmup, fighting, rhythm etc) instead of story(rpg...), so when there is dialogue I usually double tap to skim through and eventually lost track of the story. Yet somehow for Nikke I managed to follow the story while rhythm gaming through the dialogue, I can only guess that the game did well in telling the story through simple and cleverly phrased dialogue.

I don't watch korean drama but I like korean dub for game when it's their original version, which also applies here. The bgm is good too and I get to pick a catchy one for the lobby so everything's great.

Now let's talk about lewdness level in this game that I heard a lot. Personally I think it's fine, it leans a bit more toward sensual but not to the point that stopped me from playing in public. Cute character doing cute thing, and voluptious character doing flaunting. Nothing controversial, and even if there is it would still be a good diversity than boring moral standardization agenda, propaganda in every media this days. But hey, does putting a human brain regardless of age in a mechanical body to function for war sounds controversial? That's what Nikke is about(it goes deeper on that, not spoiling you), but you won't hear most people talking moral about it because they are too busy on topic that gets people attention.

A highly polished strategy game that may at a glance look like another clash royale without bridges, but long time clash royale players should felt the difference that this game had to offer.
From the point you dropped your units on the battlefield, the animations of the units moving and attacking are all fluid and clean.
Adding to the fact that there are no bridges to account for, you can do a lot of calculation and deduction on the result of a fight before timing the placement of next units. Once you get the hang of it, the attack and defend between players are extremely satisfying.

Some features that I love about the game are the placement of mob units which you can organise individually to your liking. With it, your mob can effectively avoid aoe dmg from wiping them out. Or you could used them as pebble to hinder your opponents one by one.

And with a limited 30(I think?) cards deck that you can bring to battle. It opened up a lot of combination on what you could, want and need to bring. Since you can used up your units, you can go as far as calculating the mana you have in the whole game to fully utilised it.

There is a lot of ingenuity in this game that new and veteran who like this genre should try.

Onmyoji Arena | Global

Might be biased as this is the only moba I played. But it did keep me coming back for more.
MOBA from what I see, has to be the genre with the most fairness for players. There's no additional paywall stats for the units you played and still offered good cosmetic for f2p.

The theme on Japanese mythology youkai have nice design with a good mixed of mainly humanoid and a few animal, each with their uniqueness skill and strength. You have units that let you play by your own rule at casual or that test your reflex. To be defensive or aggressive. You can play based on your mood and preference, or try finding the right balance.

And just like every gacha game. you'll roll the dice for a small chance of SSR teammate, with most of the time getting common. End of the day, the game is more about sharpening your own skills and degree of accuracy, while gaining tactical expertise as you learn and understand the game.

Match-3 rpg game that has very friendly reroll which let you 1tap delete account and skip tutorial. And currently holding 5th anniversary at time of writing making it even better.

Personally think that the battle/gameplay mechanic is quite good, not too ridiculous in needing specific unit. Might just be me comparing it to crash fever.
Existing Skip ticket for repeating battle, but not so much that you can use it everywhere.

Gacha for 3 equipment type with any 1 part of equipment would let you unlocked the character, completing the set for stronger trait, otherwise fit in different equipments for compensating stats. Pretty fine and unique system for building unit.
*Do take note there is higher than ssr rarity equipments for disguised ssr unit with title and animation appearance.

Apparently have quite a lot of contents existing by now at its 5th anni, personally will be playing it slow at leisure.

Persona 5: The Phantom X | Traditional Chinese

Very good start

06/10/2024:
It's time for an update now that the game is counting down half anni, and there's a lot of good thing to talk about.
p5x had did a great job compared to many mobile game by keeping consistent with the original p5.
Through retaining the formula of the console version for it's gameplay, p5x had already seperate themselves from many games that simply threw an ip theme on a random game. Maybe it's because there is an original game(p5) to learn from, or atlus is keeping check on this game, but p5x had indeed captured what p5 is like. The art looks persona, the bossfight is satisfying, and personally I'm not a good judge on story so I'll skip on that. The game's pacing is pretty good with a focus on pve and competition for high score, there's no problem for me returning to the game's bigger update(free new chapter dlc) after skipping for month in between.

Now, as a mobile game. p5x had combined a few mobile idle game elements such as randomised tarot equipment for stats gained, and many different leveling materials and multi-level bossrun to grind for. This is understandable that it's to increase content and retain players while they take the time to churn out more story and characters. Depending on players, this could be something new, or it could be old and stale and a little painful as consecutive 20 filler episodes in an anime considering it had been widely used in mobile rpg games.

Perhaps the very most interesting of all about p5x is that there is a console counterpart to compare with. For example, you could get a better grasp on the difference of a live service game. You can power off your phone and restart the game again and it will dropped you at where you ended which, at most of the time, is a step up from auto-save feature.
Whether you are a new player figuring out if you will enjoy the series, or an old player that's looking for more. p5x is definitely worth the time installing for a try.

very little control in gameplay, I would say it's a small upgrade from idle/rpg game. but also thanks to it there's very little reason to get angry of teammate unlike moba game so multiplayer is friendly casual and good for blood pressure if you don't account level difference.

12th anni this year Aigis is a tower defense game with a huge library of units after running for a decade and more. Boasting more than 20 races, 200classes and 6 factions(if memory is right).
With many units in the early days that still see uses.
Above is a depiction of the character sheet for a free unit.
Aigis has a unique and lenient gacha system of not needing any dupe at all, meaning you can go ahead and sell that second copy of your highest rarity unit.
On the downside, there is no earning of gacha pull from any dailies or weekly.
Through in-game roundabout way, you can get around 10 freepulls every month once you completed all adventure and event.
There is also no guaranteed pull for highlight unit, only higher droprate, and guaranteed highest rarity at every 33 pulls.
This make the game lenient and friendly toward casual and early players, but increased risk in the later stage when you want stronger and newer highlight units.
Overall, Aigis is a good TD game. But it's also clear that late-game, collector player would be tempted into spending when resource start running dry.
Still, it's worth a try. There's something appealing if a game is able to last this long.
