Moonlight Dialogue
2.4As im writing this, the game only shows two faces of the characters under Season 1, which I assume mean there's still only 2/5 routes that have been released. Some features might not be out yet, im not sure as it's not written anywhere I can find. Also im roughly 4 days into the game.
The game follows a similar format to Mystic Messenger. But unlike MM that forces us to adjust to the game's scheduled chatrooms, this one requires TP to unlock the next chatroom.
TP is acquired by doing activities in the game (for example, [Sleep] takes 5 hours and you get 5 TP), and each chatroom requires different amounts of TP.
To my knowledge, there is no way to refresh the activity chances unless you finish 1 ingame Day, so if you ever run out of both activities and TP, you're required to either pay or watch an ad to instantly continue to the next chatroom. That ad can also be used to instantly finish an activity that you're currently doing, skipping the waiting time.
1 Ad refreshes every 24 hours and there are 3 ads in total.
It's a lot to consider, but at least the options are there.
English translations are very rough. There have been a bunch of scenes where things just don't flow very well to the point it's very hard to grasp what each character is supposed to be like/what type of answer they would like. Though weirdly enough, the Finder Log (where the game gives a little summary of what happens each day) is very well written and concise.
Unlike MM, the game doesn't count the bad answers (there's no heart indicator for bad answers) so I assume there is no bad ending. Also, the game doesn't do the "whichever answer you pick will give hearts to any characters".. so they sell Hints.
Other than Hints, they also sell the usual Package, Call Pass, some premium currencies and decors. You can decorate your office, and if you have a full set, the character related to the decors will appear. I dont think it adds much though. You can poke them, but after some lines, they run out of things to say and there's no voicelines here.
Voice acting in the story is standard :)
Story is odd so far. The lack of cohesive personality due to some awkward translations make it hard for me to care for them, but the premise itself is fascinating. The Finder's Log give quite the foreshadowing of each character's problems as well and I look forward to see more.
Bugs. There are two that I've encountered. For example, when you finish the last chatroom of the day, you're urged to do Finder's Log and move on to the next ingame day. However, if you dont have TP and cant immediately read the first chatroom, you might have to redo the process all over again the next time you open the game.
Another bug is that sometimes, even if you have selected an activity and the timer IS on a countdown, the next time you open the game, the game might've not registered that countdown and cancelled the activity you selected.
TLDR; rough around the edges, ads is an option for f2ps but spend it wisely as there's a 24hr cooldown per ad. if you want some MM-flavored experience, give it a try. There are SOME bugs related to TP so make sure the countdown is actually working.
