I want to make a full review of this game, but I feel like I'll be making a lot of comparisons to the original Elona. So I'll keep it simple and say that it's a pretty good game.
Amazing graphics and sound design. However, gameplay gets repetetive fast. Thank god auto-play is a thing for farming fodder. The levelling system for both characters and skills are fine. The biggest downside is, this game is like Genshin where you need decent artifacts (called "Relics" here) to tackle end-game content: Artifacts whose stats are RNG-based. Getting good artifacts take forever (I spent two patches farming relics for 1 character, and I still have nothing to show) and the worst part is they implemented 2 more artifact types, and locked them behind a game mode that takes an hour or more in order to have 4 chances of rewards. Truly the epitome of bad civilization.
For people who wants to play the game and doesn't care much about the story, this game doesn't have a skip dialogue button. You'll be stuck on cutscenes spamming buttons or tapping your mouse/screen. Something the game inherited from Genshin I guess. Some events are also full of dialogue that you can't skip. For example, there was an event where you tell a storyteller your adventure, and it took me a gruelling 3 hours of uninteresting dialogue and half an hour of actual gameplay to complete the rewards. Yikes.
As for the main story itself, you are a trailblazer set out to adventure on different planets. World Building is great, and there's tons of lore to read. Main story might be a hit-or-miss, but personally I liked it a lot.
SUMMARY
PROS: Great graphics and music, Great characters, daily tasks take 15 minutes to finish, Draw pity is effective for getting characters you want as long as you plan ahead, Lore is great
CONS: Gameplay becomes repetetive, God-awful artifact system

3.8I really liked this game. I didn't expect to drop my other games for this. It always feels bad when a game I really like starts posting their End of Service announcement. Rest in peace, my witches. You'll be missed.
