Limbus Company
4.2i fell in love with this game immediately when i saw Gregor. who is a bug guy. my brain went, “Gregor Samsa even with the burden of societal expectations minus the fact that he doesn't quite killed himself here the way it was in Kafka's book?!” then Rodion's and went, “like Rasolkolnikov who killed the rich corrupt dude and confessed later on since Sonya pushed him but a pretty lady?!” then Sinclair's and went, “like the dilemma of good and evil and being human to which it was reinforced by Demian?! THERE'S A GUY NAMED DEMIAN HERE?!” and then everyday i unceremoniously log in everyday. call it perseverance functional autonomy, if you will
Limbus Company has a very interesting perspective in social context and how it shapes their actions... which, on many cases, different than their attitudes. Gregor's 사라지네 is stuck on my brain ever since i found out it's on Spotify. lots of blood and sounds of blood and very cool concepts (like Yisang's season 2 one) (he attacks with his fan) (also Yisang was a Korean poet who lived under Japanese regime) (i'd recommend his poems, you can start with the popular 'Crow's Eye View'), which is to be expected of this company since it made Lobotomy Corporation.... and i loved it, too!
would recommend this game to everyone who is a harlot for psychological/philosophical fiction books and interested in a modern (and lots of murder + violence + potential gacha addiction) spin of the stories integrated into one! the gameplay gets quite repetitive at some point, though isn't life meant to be an endless circle?
