THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK

[汗顏]Netmarble + KOF franchise, how long can it last?...
Just tried it for the Metal Slug 3 collab... but yeah it sucks completely.
I don't even know where to begin.

It is repetitive, expensive in time and money (P2W), it is kind of niche, both the franchise and orientation (AFK) it gets boring pretty quick not to mention again netmarble it is the publisher... that should tell you everything there is to know. Long story short not worth it at all. [no]

Yokai Watch Puni Puni | Japanese

So... after spending quite sometime in the game doing what I could, I have a few things to say about it...

Sorry for the long read, btw...[懵懂]

First of all I like the design of the sprites of the characters, it os really cute and kind of refreshing at least imho, like unfinished chibis but soft ans squishy. Although they also have 3D model and exquisite animations.

Second, the gameplay, although a little tricky at first and kind of annoying cause the starter characters it easy to understand. That of course refering to the base gameplay of the main story. Cause there are more game modes that I will aboard briefly.

[可憐]The Good: It is a chill game to tackle whenever you have free time.

There are several game modes, including recurring event special stages, where you can aim to hone your skill for each designated one.

The 3D models was not something I was specting from the ouside look of the game, a quite nice surprise.

It is a quite old game as you can see by the game icon it just hit the 10th anniversary at the moment of writing this review.
And that means by now it already had tons of collabs.
So chances are you find yourself being drawn to get your favorite character like I have.

[汗顏]The Bad: The currency income is... well... slow. To say the least. At first I thought it was a game for kids but soon after you stay a little while it is obvious it is all designed to make you spend heavily.
Even the two primary currency are based directly on modern ones: change bag and credit card. So, yeah, not so F2P. You can get basic by playing stages as a reward most of the time and credit by monthly login, participating in events and clearing some stages in event venue. However like I stated it is still pretty low income.

So... that takes us to the second: the gacha. I am being generous to say it is fair. You either need a lot of currency or a lot of luck or both.
Most of the time you will find yourself getting low tier punis, wich (spoiler alert) are thrash quite literally... That sounded harsh but it is the truth. Not only in terms of power but design wise, are hard to look at. (unless you have a thing for bakemonos) They are Yokais afterall. So you need to use your resources wisely to get the one you want, every once in a while.

[no]The Odd: It has the highest draw cost I have ever seen; 4500 y points (credit) for a 10 pull, so do the math. To draw from gacha 4 times cost 18000 y points and combined with the abysmal drops it is likely it all goes to nothing. So, no building pity here. No yolos...

Now let's say you got the one you wanted. Now comes the uphill battle to level it up. Wich you can do by playing or directly using power marbles, wich they give you a decent amount from all tiers. You can use those to get stronger faster that is of course until you hit the mlb wall, wich you can get past by... guess what... spending coins and when you are reach level 40, guess what now you need to spend y points! getting expensier everytime.

And let's not forget you still need a team of five punis to tackle on stages and events. So they have to be very good.

From S, SS, Z, ZZ, ZZZ, UZ & UZ+...
So team building and character raising are crucial here.

It is more than a puffy pinchable cheeks game. I have to say I was not expecting much from it but I guess I was wrong there... we all were. [賣萌]

Stella Sora | English

It has potential, but right now it is all it has.
Release seems rush, rate drop is awful, pity is too high it does carry over, but still) there is nothing much to do, it took about a week to have the first event: stages unlock one by one, each day. Content is locked behind player level and does not guarantee you will clear the stage. At least I am still sweeping stage 1 mostly, with nearly max level meta characters, it is not possible to mlb them without high tier resourses from high difficulty stages or crafting them slowly by sweeping low stages for a long time.

The teams are composed of 3 trekkers and 3 discs for each one of them. You need to load records (presets) for any stage outside the main story, wich I find annoying. And yeah progression limited by power and energy. We'll see if YoStar can manage to put aside its greedyness and make this game a game or another slop. Only time will tell... we'll just wait to see.
