i like idle games like this, and the characters are pretty cute too; however, this one is very rough around the edges.
* the story is mid and just a copy of other isekai waifu app games (though with the theming of the game i dunno if people are downloading it for the story anyway)
* the connecting/loading screen with the shark girl pops up way too often and interrupts your playing
*sometimes you tap stuff and it just doesnt work or it'll register seconds later
* when you first download the game, it might not even let you in the first time so you have to close the game and try it again
* the language barrier is obviously another big problem, so I'd recommend downloading a competent on-screen translator before trying this game out. be warned though, aside from the abundance of fanservicey and sexual stuff, its just an okay game. it can be way much better than it is.
The appeal here is obviously the art and the different types of waifus aka Consorts. the menus can get a little overwhelming or confusing at times, especially with all those buttons on the sides of the screen; but that's probably just me. Simple stuff is locked behind VIP Privileges, which really urks me. It's also not so easy to do the events, especially when you have those people in the server who's always winning everything and is pretty much OP; but whatever, its not like im playing this game competitively anyways. I do like the different artstyles and the different Consorts and Subordinates; I just wish so many of them weren't locked behind the VIP feature and you have to spend tons, and I mean TONS, of money just to get them. Speaking of money, were they high when they made the prices in this game? Some of those microtransations were intense! Like 3 digit intense! almost 300 dollars for some digital items? (I don't know if it was 300 or 400 or something or another, I fforget, one of those packs you can buy at those goblin girls' shop) Seriously?
• the horrendous lag (I swear sometimes I have to retire a song a few times in a row in order for the lag to stop)
• the fact that the slider at the bottom can get in the way when you try to tap, so sometimes you end up tapping the slider instead and mess up your combo, there's a sharp freeze during the song that causes you to miss all of those notes at one time, or that your tap inputs just completely stop working for like 2 seconds and then it starts working again
• and the gacha. Now I know it's been talked to death, but I have always ALWAYS had a garbage time with the gachas. Even the past collab gacha that passed (the Vanguard themed one) i saved up like 6000 diamonds cuz obviously I can't just buy em, and I rolled 10 times x2 because I liked Shinobu's outfit. And I got nothing aside from a 4 star Color Splash (? I forget which one she is, the Rika card where she's by the water; not the ticket gacha Rika) Rika.
Tried the same thing but with that Halloween gacha, and I wanted Halloween Hiiro soooo bad! I was like, "I'm definitely gonna get her this time!" and she never came home.
Other than all thaaaat...its not completely terrible. Though I do see plenty of differences and limitations now that I'm playing the Japanese version, especially with banners and gachas and songs. The English version of this game could be better, but at the same time it can be way worse. Just try to save your diamonds because they will gobble up all of them.
I came from the US version of this game; im probably around Rank 112 or 113 by now, but the lagging and glitching issues in that game caused me to check out the original Japanese version of this game and i was like WOW, there's so much more content and art and music here than in the US version! It still stutters here and there so I can't tell if the lag is better or worse here than on the US version lol
I do love how this game looks though, it seems more generous too! Either that or the US version is just particularly stingy. If there was a way to just make it to where it doesn't lag like hell I'd love this game even better. I would probably play this over the English/US app tbh. There's more characters, songs, Club items, and just more features overall...its a shsme that a lot of it is not understandable because it's in Japanese...but that doesn't stop you from playing! I'll definitely play more of this!
