Kinda fun for 20 minutes with the free stuff but then all the good songs are locked behind paywalls (there's about a hundred).
Otherwise decent expermiental gameplay.
My main problems with this game are some annoying things and the performance with my crappy 1GB RAM phone. (still better than Bandori after 6th birthday update).
I play in France, which is farther than the servers probably located in Japan than from the US.
First, the advice screen takes an eternity. I don't know if it is computing when this shows up, but that's still annoying.
Second, I have a high chance of not being able to click anything when everything is loaded, and this occurs randomly.
I still remember to retry for more than 5 times for the game to work.
Then, when I play a song, the thing will download the file (I think other games such as Bandori will download the song along the first game download) so I can be stuck for 2 minutes with a 10 second preview as only entertainement.
Most of the music (songs ond OST) is good (what you should except with LL), I still dislike some parts of the new OST (the acoustic guitar on the new main screen).
Obviously, the game is not smooth and dynamic anymore for me and the size is bigger (3GB unlike the SIF1 600MB).
Navigation is less easy than SIF1 (more menus and frustrating lag that makes me think it will crash).
UI is okay (average 2020s), but my phone makes it rough unlike SIF1.
No much stories (of it isn't clear where to find these),
I can't read Japanese so I can't review.
Rythm game part is too similar to SIF1, I would have liked a way (slider?) to change the position of the buttons (U to I).
Good things (for me) include:
no more use-google play/qooapp to update, these are still frequent but in-app updates became a thing.
The songs are easier for newbies (I did better than SIF1) but the controls are more buggy for pros.
Normal upgrading system, sadly, it removed the multiple same cards of SIF1 (was fun).
1 - size
sifas is around 3gb, that's huge compared to sif with only 1gb, i don't know why it's bigger but it takes around an hour on wifi to download
2 - gameplay
unlike sif, the game has only 2 lanes but has some confusing buttons that you need to do a certain thing between the "start" and "finish" button or you have a chance to fail the live, i don't know what i should do with it since the tutorial is in japanese, also since it's japanese, i don't understand the stories but it's the same thing from many idol games, but here it's not live 2d like bandori/project sekai, it's 3d but it's not a major change to the gameplay
3 - songs
since i'm not a big fan of the franchise, i can't tell you if it's good or not and (off topic) you can unlock snow halation very fast on the sif so if you only know this and don't care about other songs, there you go...
4 - ui
the interface have a more smoother design and look, it takes more tule to load but it's still enjoyable, the real problem is if you never played the english version, you will get confused for a long time because ot has lots of features
also, you can use sif account to play sifas
the worldwide server of bandori has some differences like you understand the stories, you can watch ads to add live boosts if they are under 10, it features less songs than the japanese one dues to licensing but features 2 english versions of songs, different events that are mostly shorter than the japanese ones and it come earlier or later than their japanese versions, also no special birthday cards, i recommand this server if you are new to the franchise so you can learn more about each band and the universe in general, i personally prefer the japanese one but it's up to you, the gameplay features classic sliding rythm gameplay with 7 lines, bc it's mobile, it features slides (painful) and flicks (less painful but drain a bit stamina), the characters are sometimes similar personalities but are varied (kokoro is a spoiled brat but she's very nice, chu2 is also a spoiled brat but she's very toxic, yukina is overrated, isn't exicted like kasumi or kokoro, has no emotions and ran is yukina but more emotive) you have overrated bands (roselia, afterglow, ras) and underrated (harohapi), also the ads are only for live boosts so you don't have tp worry about "95% cAn'T ReSoLvE ThiS!!!", it's way better than any overrated mobile rythm game such as piano tiles and it's clones, tiles hop and it's clones too and the milions of fnf third party games. i highly recommand this game
sometimes it has a better performance compared to bandori but it can freeze the controls sometimes, also the game is battery hungry and uses more data than bandori, most of the songs are vocaloid and i think it's the second idol game that features, it has more features such as virtual live (wait weeks live), 3d live (battery killer) and most of the game is based on miku, as normally someone saw a miku thing and the story starts from here i think (i can't read japanese sorry)
the gameplay is similar to bandori, the big difference is the note size is variable so you can have thin notes and wide notes, the slides are smooth and less hard than bandori
also the gacha is heck expensive (3000 compared to 2500 in bandori)
for the artstyle i prefer bandori for the chibis on the areas, in proseka, the npcs are squashing while walking but it's my opinion
the big difference between the two games is it features men and mostly vivid bad squad members accustaed as lgbtq compared to bandori's community shipping all characters
the graphics on mobile are awful and many of the games are pay to win roblox was a very fun game before 2017 and a decent game before 2020 now toxic players have taken the platform and roblox totally ignore us

Though AR isn't a thing anymore nowadays, that feature is still fun when u just want to experience schizophrenia with ur waifus.
Quite a gadget app but it IS entertaining so that's a def approval.
