Installed it because of the art. Gameplay is okay and mechanic is good, music is not bad too. The characters and storyline are not engaging enough for me though, the romance developed too fast at least to my standard. Gems are so stingy and ssr is hard to get, not surprised tho since this is netease.
I wouldn't say much for now, but not very into it so far.
Characters are okay, I don't particularly hate them but so far none of them become my favourite.
Gameplay is pretty standard, my only gripes is they don't allow us to skip battle but give us auto repeat instead. So yeah, it's kinda takes time to play this game even just for doing daily.
The songs sound okay but not that good for me and I still can't understand why they should put music in this kind of game.
Graphic is okay. The UI looks like an old game tho.
Will still play the game and see how this game will develop in the future.
**edit my review since I have different opinion on this game after years of playing it.
Review (broken english incoming, be careful):
Graphics is beautiful, esp the cards illustration. As for the CG in the story I think it's ok, not that special (although some are nice) but in general it looks good. It's nice that they give the heroine a face, so we wouldn't just see her mouth and nose. The characters sprites are not that good for me though, I wouldn't say all, but some of them look kinda weird for me, but at the end I get used to it so it's alright.
Gameplay is basically pricon, nothing new here. Pricon but boys, that's it. After a long time the gameplay becomes a chore, while it's still alright, the amount of time that the game takes to load is too long and too often so it's kinda annoying. The new fairy event is bad and too dull to play. So minus point here.
Since we have reached the ch. 6 I think I have to say the story is just okay. Not that bad but not that special either, just usual story that you will get from fantasy setting, nothing new. I think whether you can enjoy the story or not depends on the casts. There are characters that for me is too bland or too cliche so it makes the interaction feels pretty boring but there are characters who are good. The same with the event story, I think it depends on the cast lineups. And ofc characters story are basically the same, some are good, the others are not quite, but it's really just depends on your preference.
The characters are vary, so just choose which one that you like. But honestly, the one that makes it good is the heroine. She has face (although there is an option to 'off' it) and has personality. I think one of the best part of the main story is the choice, you can choose a normal answer or a bit comedic answer (usually I chose the latter). Not to mention the developer really gave the heroine lot of outfits, it will be nice if one day they give us the full looks of it.
Gacha is based on your luck so I can't comment much of it but they have pity system for event gacha (200 rolls). **(However the developer is very generous (for now) so I don't think you will have problem with that. )** Have to edit this, they seem to be generous but they give you one event after another that you will soon run out of gems. So yeah if you are f2p, you can't be too greedy here. Main story is one of the good ways to farm gems but they update it pretty slow which is quite understandable.
I don't think I need to say anything about the cast. Lot of famous name, even veterans, and one of the main reason I try this game (I'm sad that Ishida is npc tho).
TL;DR I think this is a good game at first but soon it becomes more like a chore to me. Still like some of the boys tho so I stay and just play it casually. If you like the boys then play it.
I've played it since the release day and never expected that I will still play it now.
Review (warning: broken English) :
- Graphic: The art style is unlike most of joseimuke games I suppose, or at least compare to others idols games. As for me I like the art style so it's a plus. Cards illustrations are a bit unstable though, sometimes it looks very good, sometimes I could see an error in the proportion, etc, but partly it's just because I do drawing so I'm a bit noisy about this, I think in general it's still good. Can't really rate the UI since I get used to it.
- Gameplay: I don't play any other rhythm games so I cannot judge whether this one is better than the others or not. Also sometimes I found it to be a rather strategic game? Like, the key to get high score is by using the right skill in the right timing not of how you perfectly tap the note.
- Storyline: The story is very fresh and it is the main reason I keep playing this game. There is MC with default name, but mainly she just becomes an observer of the whole things happened around the boys, although she has a deep connection with some of them, but it still remains a mystery (which I hope quickly unfold). The problem though, they want to make the MC as plain as possible so players can yume-ing her, but since she has the past with the boys I think they end up make her looks kinda air-headed. Some people might found the story is too angst but for me it's still ok although most the characters are shady af haha. I love mystery, so that part is the one that makes me stay, but I hope they don't drag it too long, since they just added one mystery to another without reveal any of it. You can check the Season 0 in their Youtube channel btw.
Characters: I love the characters design since there is variety in it. As for the characters itself each has their unique personality and background but since all of them using code name, and none of their real names have been revealed so far, they all become kinda mysterious (and shady). Each member has their own circle of friends so it's not like all of them are get along nicely with each other, but since this is joseimuke, they treat the MC nicely, well in each of their own standard. Nevertheless, the interaction between the characters is very interesting to see because of the situation around them.
- Music: the second reason I play this game. Unlike your usual idols game, they hired singers to sing the songs. Maybe some people will find it weird that the singer is different with the VA, but I think the developer chose the singers perfectly so the singing voice is not much different with the talking voice. Also different team has different genre of music, so there are various genre here. Personally I like their music although I wouldn't say all.
TLDR; idols with twist I suppose? Do check out this game if you're curious, (you can check their songs and season 0 in their YouTube to get the atmosphere of the game), whether this is your cup of tea or not depends on your preference.
*edit: tips to play this game esp if you are in for the story: just enjoy the ride since the dev loves to troll the players.
