I've been playing this for five years and I'm a free player. It's not as good as it was before, they certainly after your wallet but the graphics and designs were beautiful. I don't participate in events that much but I have a ton of clothes and stuff. What I mainly do is log in everyday, take advantage of the free rolls, exchanging the smile points to gacha tickets. It's fine to participate in events but it's almost impossible to get the good stuff if you are a free player.
I've been playing Love Nikki SEA but then it shut down. Now I want to go back with different servers. I'm contemplating getting the Japanese version but there is Love Nikki English as well. Are these two similar or the Japanese version is much better?
Update:
Okay, I downloaded the Japanese version.
• You can speed run a level ten times, no need to be a VIP
• After completing level 4-1 you'll get tons of recipes suits from previous events starting at 2017. That made me jump for joy and I'm thinking on focusing on getting the suit recipes than participate in the current event.
Overall:
• You don't have to study Japanese to play. If you play the English version before, you can navigate you way.
• HOWEVER, it will be trial and error doing the Stylist Arena. The text were mostly in Kanji, so prepare a camera translation app or something
• If you are studying Japanese like me, this is a good excersise. Some things will be written in Katana like buttons: Friend = Furendo, Event = Ebento, and stuff.
