first impressions.
to anyone looking for a fresh take on puzzle gameplay, this isnt it. could be if you try hard enough, but it's pointless since most likely AI is better than you, or you could just click the tiles randomly very quickly. it's pseudo gameplay. it all boils down to maximizing team building. you dont even have to think give it some time and there will be plenty youtubers for you to copy paste f2p builds with to clear hard stages.
now if theres real time pvp no auto and players have to rely on themselves, that might be interesting.
overall design
-characters look cool. thats it. the entire thing aside from the story since i dont care, is such a turn off. fire water earth elements in 2022, really? is it so hard to be creative? it's not hard to find people who go nuts over creating their own ideas and world. the budgets are so misplaced i dont care about some pv go pay nerds to give us interesting concepts. also attaching characters to history or myth people is so tired, even if theyre just mere titles.
cons but look into it further because the game is so uninteresting to stay for more than 20mins
-poor optimization
-memories gacha with a rate of 4% compared to character gacha 2.5%
-either it's buggy, or so much is a wip because no voice is playing in files
if you like your cookie cutter gachas then hop in.
EDIT as of june:
game gives a lot of keys for farming now. it has decent events from doing farming to reward you additional resources & mats. quite generous with standard summons as game goes on, mostly from coupons, lets see how long that lasts.
game updated some qol so it's good they listen to complaints.
important to note is it updated the shop for when you rolled a character that has already max dupe it gives another currency to buy single random and selection summons with, those pink glittery stuff. it's good that it didnt take long for these updates.
battlepass doesnt give summons. and the paid one only has 1 standard multi.
some things i dont like: it takes too long to finish one round of farming, around 3 mins, and game gives a lot of keys. i'd say it helps for you to stay away from your phone but if you already have several other gachas that requires heavy farming then this is a pass. you need about 3-6 hours a day to leave the phone open for this depending on how much keys you have atm.
i didnt like the new update where the farming stops auto when your bag is full.
verdict:
- try if you love the manhwa
-f2p progress will be slow but manageable. you still get strong steadily.
-if you want an idle game that has the most minimal management as possible, one that might help cure phone addiction lol, then try this. idle games typically has a lot going on and demand your attention several things at once thats why it's easy to lose time to it but not this one. i'll update if they add more features in the future.
its very slow and grindy. if thats a problem then dont bother. however for me, i hope this game lasts a long time. it gives the impression that its planned for something greater? there are already a fair amount of korean players actively engaging on twitter about it despite the game being very new, also where i get updates from. devs are responsive. pros is constant updates, this game isnt in its full potential yet. so those who dropped it you might want to come back and see again sometime.
Memento Mori
3.0ok some features to quickly mention:
huge part of me wanting to roll for a character is the soundtrack. really nice ost, it's genius to dedicate a song for each girl when budget allows. however it looks like scrap went to writing team and it's the most disappointing part of this game for me. it looked like it'd have a decent story. i hope im wrong as time goes on. even though it's just the beginning, that doesnt justify how barebones it is. it should leave a nice impression right off the bat. also great english VA team
Important (i think): new character just got released and it's disappointing but i'll cut them some slack since it's just the first week since this game has grandier production and release fes missions are still ongoing. but yeah, no event, not 1 chapter of this new character as far as i know. seems like dia currency will be hard to save as game goes on, and i said save bc you could get dia from a lot of game modes but in small amount. anyone who already calculated can prove me wrong. lots of benefits for whales though.
gameplay: a lot of sr characters have shitty skills. heavily based on chance so if youre unlucky, dump your resources on large burst dmg dealer. dont ignore ilya bc shes the only one who can Faint 100% for 2 turns for now. just repeat battles to right timing and chance the attacks of the girls, it's no problem since it's all clicking anyway.
other items such as mats for gear are very hard to get as of now.
nice steady f2p progression still though.
gacha: 4.something% sr rate and there are rewards the more you roll inclusive of all banners, except the paid ticket one iirc. the newly released character gacha has 100 pity.
