RWBY: Crystal Match

a lot more interesting that I expected. the
group battle dynamic is pretty interesting and I can see myself playing it for an extended. of time.

I couldn't wait to play this game, and I knew I was going to love it. since one of the countries on the soft launch is Canada which is very near me, I had no problem connecting using UFO VPN. you can disconnonect the VPN as soon as youre done in char creation. once again I was blown away by the character construction screens as they are very deep. creating the exact look isn't a problem, but it's certainly going to take a good bit of time. class creation was disappointing because the classes are gender locked! perhaps this is only because it's the soft release, but I never expected that! do I like this game? I only have six or seven hours logged and I'm still uncertain. there is so much going on in the game that sometimes it feels overwhelming. I'm no casual gamer, trust me on that. I'm as hard core and competitive as they come so I'm not reviewing this through the lens of a casual gamer who would in fact be overwhelmed by so much content. once i have more time i can evaluate fairly

I've just installed it and completed the first campaign. Before I say anything further, I must comment on the graphics. The graphics are beautiful! the characters are responsive, and the combat mechanics seem decent. my experience of course, is tainted by the fact that I have no idea what any of the menus do. it took me 20 minutes to find the inventory, and even longer to find out where my gatchas went. I really enjoy this style of game, and am playing Last Cloudia, which is very similar. I'm enjoying that very much primarily because it's in English. I'm certain that if this game had an English patch, I would love it. but until then, it's unplayable because I simply don't understand the storyline, and I can't navigate through the menus for the simplest of things.

oh, by the way. obviously I live in the USA, and I have no need of a VPN. it connected straight away without any problem at all.
