i have played worse. there are so many a mobike game can go wrong. but this is pretty damn good. the combat is fluid. the music isnt grating. its got some pretty good combat with dodging that actually makes sense. the world looks interesting, even if its not open, and several instances are seemlessly connected.
The classes are gender-locked, but the game has the courtesy to provide a class for each playstyle. as for class fantasy/skills they somehow managed to make everything somewhat fun. that, and every class has the cutscenes reflect it. that ive played so far. it might even extend to the sub-classes, which have some decent deviation.
For example, the Magi-Blade, which is a swordsman specialization, actually does magic damage, where most mobile games wouldnt bother with that detail, and relies way, way more on speed than the berserker which is all physical damage at slow speeds, all at once.
Another example being The Warlock and the Elementalist. the warlock tends to mix melee attacks into their spellcasting, and going full on "in your face muscle mage" is a viable setup, while the elementalist wants to dance between ranges. theres also an Illusionist specialization that stays rather far back.
also, the pvp is intwresting, having your skills capped, requiring you to.back off, and let your opponent breathe if you want to use your skills
the voice acting is terrible, the classes are not only genderlocked but uninspired, the story is a shitter version of one of their older games, which was this game but better, the game looks as visually bland as the monotone voices, and as far as i see it, its another top-down cash grab game. that and the sceeenshots look barely anything like the gameplay.
the voice acting, is not acting. im 100% sure, that is just an AI text to speech.
the classes are as follows: Swiftblade (female only) Slayer (male only), Gunner (Female only), Mage (Female only). The only mildly interesting ability among the group is a ghost hand that the Slayer gets. the rest are stock standard "magical ball", "Shoot gun, but more." and "Big slash? Bigger slash".
the music is forgettable, and so are enemy designs, and they take the premise that they did so well in their other game like this and completely butchered it this time. their other game also had three non-locked classes, with two classes that were locked for LORE reasons
The story of this game is that the world is ending, and you have to go back in time and stop it, and while they nailed it with the previous game, being able to take branching paths every failed loop, and exploring the theme of time travel, this game just uses it as a lazy inciting incident and goes "oh. well thats good enough. time for the Infinite fetch quest."
whats worse is that when i went back to look for the game that did this plot so well? i couldnt find it. theyve taken down one of their better games and replaced it with this shitty replica.
