Dark and Darker Mobile

Abyss of Dungeons, as it's now known, feels like Dark and Darker and PUBG Mobile's unfortunate child. Both parent games are bad and the child couldn't be different. Monetization systems that are synonymous with Tencent. Disappointing

Heroll : Roguelike RPG

This shouldn't be called an RPG since there is no role to be played. You can just have a few different builds but you're always just a knight playing the same role.

Gameplay is serviceable with decent graphics. Extremely repetitive loop with a meaningless energy system. Storyline is practically non-existent but the one character you meet is not bad and the humor is enjoyable. Soundtrack caught me totally off guard with how rich and catchy the tunes are. Unholy monetization model. Ads everywhere, subscription packages and a VIP status upgrade that doesn't make the game less infested with its bundles, flash deals, limited purchases and rechargable resources that you can pay for with money or by watching ads. This game as a lot of potential and it might be killed by its bloodthirsty business practices.

Mini Monsters: Card Collector

Simple game with a repetitive loop that's riddled with ads and the cards are a pile of AI-generated crap. Not recommended.

The classic endless runner game. This is an obvious choice when it comes to arcade style gameplay. Fluid controls with a skill cap that's just above what you would expect. The main theme is catchy and instantly recognizable. What's not to love? There's actually an answer to that. The game nowadays is flooded — and I mean flooded — with ads. There's even in-game missions that are just "watch ads". The game offers a coin doubler for real money and the various items that can be purchased are almost exclusively cosmetic. I say almost because every season a few select items will provide bonus score multipliers and the game really wants you to spend money on it. The item upgrades that really matter are really not hard to max out, but a lot of content in the game is designed around convincing you to watch ads. Skipping missions, doubling rewards, getting access to even more rewards, second chances, daily bonuses. There's an ad button on every single thing and the game even has a meter that fills up when you've watched 10 ads, which gives you a few item boxes and guess what, you can watch ads to double those rewards too. It's actually unbelievable. There's forced ads in between runs that don't even get you anything, and the game just straight up doesn't let you play offline. Progression slows down to a crawl if you deny every chance to watch ads. Sure, you don't absolutely have to partake in the seasonal content and you can just run endlessly with the characters that you'll eventually be able to unlock if you play for five years straight, but you'll feel like you're missing out on a ton.

Soul Knight Prequel | Global

For a more complex game than the original Soul Knight, this game really doesn't capture the same atmosphere. The gameplay feels more repetitive without the roguelike elements and there's less variety of weapons even if the classes are varied. I played the original game for years and still revisit it sporadically. The same can't be said about this one, sadly.

This game is a tragedy. What once was a popular game is now a joke in its own genre. Most games that came after it outperform it in many ways. That is because this game is empty (if you disconsider the game's own bots that populate entire matches), with meaningless, confusing events and abusively priced waves upon waves of cosmetics that pile up and take up an insane amount of storage and hinder the game's peformance drastically. Cheaters are commonplace, sound design is mediocre, and whatever effort they could focus into improving their solid base for gameplay is spent on squeezing every last penny of a dying fanbase diseased with a sunk cost fallacy.

This is my go-to for multiplayer competitive action. It is a fast-paced PvP game with a variety of characters, maps and modes. The game has changed drastically over the years but it's remained a very enjoyable experience. Progression is not as sluggish as other games, especially compared to other games by Supercell. Balancing can be an issue sometimes, as can the connection issues even with lightning fast, stable internet access. It unfortunately can be considered a pay-to-win game as you can directly unlock upgrades from the shop with real money. Customization is satisfactory, though they release limited time events really often and for the most part you cannot get the offered cosmetics items from other sources, like pins (equivalent to emotes), sprays, avatars and other minor cosmetics. Some skins won't return as well which is a shame since a lot of them are great and they weren't tied to any major event (like Halloween skins that were in the shop for a while then never came back) The characters are charming and the voice acting is great for the most part. Definitely recommend this game.

Terrible app. Buggy, laggy, with insanely abusive Terms of Service. I urge you to consider other alternatives as your go-to photography social media app.
