Most of the time you'll just be watching your character do stuff automatically. Strikes me more as a resource management game with RPG functions. The soundtrack is stellar though, characters are very charming and despite not being able to change your character's gender (it's class-locked) you can give them a lot of personality through various costumes and dyes for said costumes. Not the most generous game when it comes to certain currencies (Gold — the main currency in the game — is an extremely valuable resource. Be careful not to spend it on things that will translate into insignificant raises to your combat power). Upgrading equipment is a chore, but I quite like the familiars (pets that fight alongside you) even though the system for upgrading them is similar to the weapons and equipment one, they can't "break" if you fail an upgrade (which requires another scarce item to fix) and you can equip them with every class (same goes for equipment, but not weapons). Of course, they matter less in terms of combat power but I focus more on them since they require less resources to upgrade and are less frustrating to manage (weapons and armor take up your INCREDIBLY limited backpack space, they can break and are a pain to manage sometimes). There's a lot to do every day and events happen all the time, the game is still undergoing major changes quite frequently so there's still room for improvement. Give it a try if you're a fan of resource managing I guess.
It's a pokémon 3v3 PvE Gacha-style game. What surprised me was how generous they are with pull rates and premium currency compared to some other Gacha games I've played. I'm not saying they'll shower you with them constantly (I wish they did lol) but you won't take forever to make an 11× Pull. The game and its mechanics can be a little overwhelming for new players to fully grasp but as far as games go this one's on the simpler side. What I do commend them for is the soundtrack. This game has an amazing soundtrack. So many great tracks! They remix original Pokémon themes but sometimes they end up creating a better version than the original material. They advertise this game as having multiplayer but it is so incredibly limited they shouldn't even mention it. Storyline is very simple, very basic. I guess the main attraction is having countless Pokémon characters interact with each other in various settings and scenarios. Graphics are okay. Nothing to write home about but passable. The gameplay is really dynamic and you can speed up the battles and even use Auto Mode (though I do not recommend it). It can feel repetitive at times so they introduced the "skip tickets" which is an item you spend to reap the rewards of a battle without having to battle every time you want to get those rewards in exchange for your stamina. Don't worry about skip tickets, they're incredibly easy to obtain and you get some every day. Maxing out characters is a little tricky. You can easily max out their level and level cap without too much grinding, but raising their "potential" (reaching EX level) can be a tough task if you don't have a lot of strong characters that can carry you through the Elite Four event. Eventually you'll be able to raise a few characters to EX level (which means getting an insane power boost, a new costume and sometimes even a custom song that you can play in the jukebox and during battles that you have already completed). Overall a very good experience, paying for stuff with real money is completely optional, just don't expect to be pulling all the time for every character banner, but I'm sure you know how gacha games work. Definitely give it a try!
A major portion of the characters and skills in the game are paywalled, which really detracts from the experience. Would be better if this applied only to skins but unfortunately even characters that you can unlock with in-game currency have skills that are only accessible if you pay real money. The game itself is really good, lots of weapons, enemies, characters and interesting mechanics. Multiplayer makes the game even more fun, and the soundtrack is amazing.
