How to start this.. Code geass and Nunnally especially will always have a special place in my heart so I tried this game out and see if I could stick to playing it.
Few weeks later and I have to admit I'm disappointed but not surprised since it's an anime IP game.
The music is good- CG has always had its own signature music and this game somehow lives up to it.
The new characters, at least so far, don't intrigue me at all. There's nothing about them that stands out, including the story. Both characters and story leave a lot to be desired and are lost in the sea of generic jpn RPG plots.
Now graphics: the chibis are adorable, especially the Halloween ones. However, the sprites and backgrounds are on the meh side. The full CGs of units are beautiful though.
But the anime shots for code links looks off with the CG style art of the others. The CG game exclusive ones are great btw but you can't even view them on Full screen properly like what??
The gacha is okay, I've been lucky so no complaints there. You can easily buy relics at the shop anyway.
However the biggest thing I don't like-- I hate the abyss gameplay. Literally. It's dumb that you have to keep your screen on abyss for it to continue. Like no thanks. But you need it anyway to be able to get and buy materials.
I don't doubt I'll be uninstalling soon unless they do something about Abyss but for the meantime it's a game I log in and use my AP up while I wait for my favorites to get a banner and story.
This game is the biggest disappointment. What were the company thinking combining way too predatory decisions with such an unpolished game? This game feels like it was made in 2010, not 2020 and it shows how much it's just a big cash grab instead of a passion project.
Firstly, the graphics. Gosh the models are ugly. Like no kidding they're so bad I'll never get used to it. You'd think companies would take notes from OLDER games with amazing 3D models but no. Like it's not even decent, the shaders are downright hideous 🤮 The cards are okay, could be better. The body proportions even for 4star cards are wonky and at times just ugly.
The sound, I waited for this and even watched the anime because of the music. For the songs.. they're ok. A few like far away and hikari no akuma are bops but the rest are entirely forgettable. The covers have nothing special about them like in Garupa or select Psekai covers.
The economy.. sucks. The worse LMAO. If you're f2p and like collecting your best boys, especially if you have more than one or two, don't even bother installing. The free gacha currency expire, you'll never be able to save for a spark after the first one when you exhaust the free stones from stories, missions etc. And if you do get lucky YOU NEED A DUPE. ALONG WITH THE 2.5% RATE. Yeah it sucks bigtime.
Now QOL. It also sucks. There are always errors when you play a live and IT EATS THE STAMINA anyway. My wifi is fast and I've tried it on 2 phones and my iPad but it still happens. In gift box you can't categorize so yeah goodluck keeping the free currency in there.
So bottomline.. i had great expectations for this game but not only did it not meet them but also takes the crown for one of the worst games given the devs.

3.6Ths story is good so far even though it was a little abrupt at the start, they took some elements from stand my heroes but mixed it with console otome usual plots where there is a mystery in the main story that the MC must uncover/remember. Her personality is interesting and there seems to be a reason why she is like devoid of any feeling.
Hopefully they keep adding content to that over time.
As for the LIs/male cast, they're pretty varied but also kinda taken from sutamai characters but that's understandable. None so far have been as crazy or extremely "unrealistic" as in sutamai though, which is refreshing in otomege.
There's a system where a LI can ask you out on a date and I think that's really neat
Art and music is good and the L2D is very smooth which I love. The basic gameplay is perfect since it's targeted towards working women with the money to spend on its gacha.
My only issue is how ridiculously stingy the game is with the gacha currency. F2P can't even get a 10 pull in a month, and the more expensive than usual monthly pass is also not enough for a 10 pull. Even games that are considered by their community as not generous give that much. Like coly what happened? I know OA was too generous but this is just ridiculous even for small spenders. It's not like this game is fully voiced and the SSR rate of 3% just makes it feel like a cashgrab. Either they put out events that give a lot of currency or this game won't last for f2ps and sardines 🤣🤣
