Promise of Wizard | Japanese

The main point that sparks why you should try out this game is because of the story line and the characters. The backgrounds are also very pretty and the Live2d on the characters is also well done, although sometimes I find some movements a bit excessive.

The main plot of the game is interesting, however it is the own character stories/past and the event stories that make you truly immersed into game. Every character has their own different story, ones that show determination, ones that depict a very sad past, ones that show hopefulness and ones that show how people can love each other. I have never been so immersed into a set of characters before because of their stories, the writing in this game is very well done, the developers have really thought well on the character relationships between other wizards, also humans and wizards, but also the main human (the player) who has their own set of mind, describes how they see the wizard world and how they see each of the wizard characters; and it's not just some background character like most other MC characters in games.

On the other hand, the gameplay may be tiring. I can see how people would find it boring. However, this is just a similar case like other popular games such as Ensemble Stars (before they made the rhythm game) which had a boring gameplay but a set of characters and story that people were immersed in; that is why Enstars became popular. Also, the developers for Promise of Wizard are trying out new gameplay and delievering it to players so you can expect new gameplay to happen.

If you're still unsure, or you aren't interested in any of the characters maybe because of design or how the cards look (although the cards look great the backgrounds and colours are really pretty) I insist that you read the character stories first. Even the main story. I'm sure there will be one character that you will be interested in. This is a game which focuses on the character relationships and story, so don't think so much about the gameplay.

The gameplay is pretty much FGO(fate grand order, would say one of the most popular mobile game in japan came out 2015), if we are talking about the main fighting gameplay that is. The only difference is character link skills. I will say you'll definitely need a lot of storage for this game.

If I were to compare this to FGO the graphics and fighting motions are better. Some moves are similar, like Brad's chain attack and Gil's chain attack in FGO, but i'm not really gonna blame. Also the "Burst" which is the "special skill" a hero card has is the same as in FGO it's called Noble Phantasm ,the ones that are like the big power move , they're all animated like ANIME ANIMATED so you'll definitely need storage for that.

EDIT!! only anime animated for the 4☆ cards, but other rarities below have a different animation not anime animation, but would say still a lot of storagelol it's a step up from FGO's animation but helios ones are a lot shorter than FGO's. It looks like the spend a lot to develop this game, it's pretty cool

I have no idea about the rates for the cards yet so I won't say anythinf about that but if it's bad then that'll be another similarity with FGO lol
EDIT!!! 4☆ rate is total of 5% BUT the game has two kinds of cards; hero and frame, think of it as hero as the main attacker and frame cards as the support bonus on that hero card, again the same as FGO 🤣 Your chance of getting a 4☆ hero is 2% while 4☆ frame is 3%, so overall your chances of getting frame cards are higher than hero cards. Expect that when you do a 10 roll you may only get 4 hero cards out of the 10 you just rolled.

I'm only comparing this game with FGO just cause of similar gameplay. You can play which ever you like. If your more into 2d husbands then I would say this one is for you.
EDIT!!! Helios is more fluid than FGO, you get more gems on each stage and items, it is easier to level up and also there is another part where you can build your own hero room/office which is fun.

Not sure how events are like yet! Will edit again to talk about it
EDIT ok keeping it short events are nice and easy you can get the event cards without spending any gems at all. The amount of days the event goes for is almost 14 days plenty of time.
