This was actually really good, especially for a free vn!
Positives:
- Free (the base game)
- completely voice acted
- great plot
- amazing ending theme
- without paying it was about ~20-30 minutes of content with multiple endings
Negatives:
- Lots of ads,
- the english translation was kinda sketchy
- $18 for the full vn without ads
(Honestly, considering the quality of the vn $18 is pricey, but not too bad)
Not much to say about it other than it's pretty cute and it does what it's supposed to do - along with a few other nice features.
The graphics and the voice acting are nice and the game is pretty simple, so I'm just going to wait for them to add more songs and outfits/accessories before I reinstall the game (I have limited phone space).
Essentially, if you're looking for a relaxing game with idols from the idolmaster franchise to waste time on, this is it :) .
Great graphics (I love the mini amvs in the mvs :) ), lots of good songs, and it's generally not to hard to get the gems(?) for the gacha.
I really like the game overall, however, I have a couple issues with it
1. gacha rates for 5/6 cards are super low
2. there are a lot of outfits, but its difficult to get cards to actually obtain the outifts
3. the loading times! it's so slow, and this has caused me to uninstall the app a few times in favor of other rhythm games (i have limited space on my phone)
Honestly, i dont care about the storyline, so heres a quick (?) review for those only interested in the rhythm game aspect:
Pros:
- the songs are Amazing. Edgy, and i like it that way.
- gacha rate isnt too bad; 3.5% rate for an ssr
- when you resume songs, the lanes scroll back so you don't have to break your combo!
Cons:
- the ui is kind of ugly
- changing colors of notes can make them hard to see
- vertical ui makes the lanes really small
- leveling up cards is unnecessarily difficult compared to other rhythm games
- rehearsals can be fun, but are a pain in the ass sometimes
- goals are for each song, not each difficulty, making diamonds harder to get*
Is this a lot of cons? Yes.
But don't be fooled. The songs make up for pretty much all of them imo. They are just so good...
(I hope they add some more!)
*Edit: I just found out that the goals for each song change regularly, so you can actually get more rewards
*Edit 2: I uninstalled this so I could play project sekai...
I have played so many rhythm games in my day.... so its a nice change of pace to play one thats not focused completely on girls and that has pretty good gameplay mechanics
(even though im not into "otome" stuff cause im a [straight] guy)
I love this game.... you dont have to constantly feed the weak to the ssrs/srs, and the ssr pull rate is 3% (I actually got lucky and downloaded this right before million fes though haha)
The number of songs is also constantly growing with each event, and a lot of them are pretty catchy. In my opinion, the graphics are really good in comparison to cinderella girls, love live all stars, etc., although the mouth movements are a bit strange at times. It's also really easy to get different outfits because of events and post-event (free) purchases!
(I also don't care about the storyline, so idc if it's in japanese)
Notes (4)
Morepink medal/coin rates
If anyone is at all interested, here are the card rates for the pink medals I calculated so far with a sample size of 201 pulls (I'm still going but this is what I have so far)
edit: i know you can get a ssr (ive gotten one before) but the rate is so low that so far i have not pulled any while taking data
