and no! the game is not even that Identical.
you can see in the combat system. (you guy talking like princess connect is so original even though almost every system in the game have been done over a 100 time already and that is a facts)
while princess connect use 5 units party and semi auto battle system (the units move and use skills on their own in semi real time battle, you only need to press to use the active skills.....or you can just press that "Auto" button)
on the other hand Index got 3 units party and Full turn base battle system (you and enemy team have 5 block on each team, 3 of your unit can move in between these block to gain the bonus on some block that randomly (i guess?) pop up and all of the units can team up to increase to damage and etc. you need to activate the all of the skills on your own...or again you can just press that "Auto" buttom)
good game but love live collab was a mistake
edit: i changed my mind, Cygame is the greatest! give 12000 cc for april fool day!

4.0it is a nice mecha game to add to my collection
the gameplay made me think of iron saga in a good way.

edit: huh it seem the fact that the Destroyer class beta bull rush attack animation didn't get freeze when skill is used just got patch (whatever this is intentional or A bug is unknown.)
good.
