Arknights

4.8

I really REALLY like this game. The art is very nice (haven't gotten E2s yet but from what I've seen they're even better), the music is top notch (especially the victory theme), and the gameplay borders on being very difficult but also just enough for you to be able to beat it most of the time. It's a unique experience from a tower-defense style game (not that I've played many mind you) to be so strangely balanced in difficulty. It's definitely worth a try if nothing else. I just wish premium and gacha currency were a bit easier to come by though.

It's a really fun game in my opinion. Units look amazing and the gameplay is simple to do and yet has potential to require a lot of thinking (both before battle and during it). If there's one thing I don't really like about the game, it's that it's very grind heavy, requiring a lot of time to level up units past a certain point and some later game content requiring units at maximum capacity. Additionally, not every unit is made equal, and in this game it hurts the viability of most lower rarity units and even some higher rarity ones since they won't be as useful for completing the content.

Crash Fever | Global

4.0

One of my first main mobile games and the one I've been playing the longest, Crash Fever is really fun. Its core game element (that being panels that don't fall in uniform patterns and must be linked to be removed) is very easy to pick up, but the application of it in conjunction with the various obstructions and each individual quest is what keeps everything fresh. Unit designs are wonderfully designed and take inspiration from both the origin of the unit and the cyber design of the overall game, mixing in fantasy elements as needed. The story is very loose, mainly told between quest lines and bringing certain units to quests, but there is some. Also the sound track is absolutely amazing. If there's one problem I have with the game, it's the progression of power; newer units trivialize old content and most older units (barring the Academics/strongest) can't really touch newer content. If you just start, you'll want to reroll a good unit to start off.

10 Project | Korean

2.2

While I think that the character designs are cool and well-drawn, I can't say the same about the rest of the game. Enemies are far faster than most units can attack and come in large numbers, making it very hard to stop some of the larger or back-to-back waves the game is fond of. The initial set of units isn't enough to meet the game's demands for very long and (in my experience) I was only given about 4 free pulls from the story/beginner events and had to work for a 10x pull (which isn't that bad, but does not help progression). Also, most of the game's "difficulty" comes from throwing more enemies at you rather than real differences between enemies. All in all, in my opinion I'd say give this game a pass.
