This game is a real pearl in a sea of greedy gacha games.
The gameplay is solid, graphics are stunning while being accessible on medium end phones and potato PCs, the characters are unique and all have a niche and are useful.
The story will probably take some time to develop more, but for just 2 patches it is absolutely solid and gives room for speculation, I adore the Train spaceship too.
Music is a banger and you can even choose the Hub BGM (the train wagon).
As for the gacha, it's a Hoyoverse game, rates are meh but the pity system is gold. Battle Pass is worth and easy to complete a few weeks before it expires if you play casually but do the objectives (wich are accessible)
Overall a very very good game for casual gamers who want to relax and enjoy a nice free turn-based rpg with anime graphics.
Very very fun to play. This is the first tower defence game that made me enjoy the genre, even if it is not a typical one.
Units are so unique compared to each other that each new character you pull is a new way to clear a map.
-The rates are not bad at all and most maps can be cleared blindly with 4* characters (highest rarity is 6*, 4* you get really easily) and if you think your brain is too smooth or you are tired, just look up the map clears on YouTube made by lovely poeple. Some maps actually are challenging and require specific comps, but again, a 6* is better than a 4-5* but you don't need them.
EDIT 07/2023: Limited 6* are getting soooo common that it's impossible for F2P and dolpins like myself to even try getting more than 2 a year (being lucky).
-The story is good, very. For some poeple it's hard to get into and nobody will blame you for skipping, it's not a requisite to play.
Easily a better AAA game than many coming out from bigger companies in the last year. Cutscenes are very high quality as is the rest of the game.
A gorgeous 3D gacha game, pulling 3D models honestly feels way more satisfying than what I expected.
The story could be more fleshed out but since it is completely unskippable, they would get hate from poeple not interested, so I forgive them for now.
-Avoid spending big bucks in here if you can't cash out a LOT at once, because paying just a little, with those rates, is useless to get your character. I'd recommend getting the Battle Pass if you have finished it and the monthly pass wich is of great value-.
All in all a great game who can do better, especially with the energy regen (too slow).
100% would recommend
EDIT (nearly a year later): Inzuma just came out and is more gorgeous than anything that came out before, the story also got fleshed out and started to pick up.
This game made me discover the Fate franchise (f*** the spoilers I can enjoy the series anyway). Gameplay is addictive and the drop rates, while abysmal, don't keep you from building a strong team since you don't NEED all those 5* to clear content. The story is kinda slow to begin with but gets better and better every chapter.
Very interesting game. Not a big fan of timegated pvp and farming zones but getting used to it. It looks gorgeous and the music is perfect for the art style.
EDIT: Got extremely boring after a few months. Quitting for now.
