The game is very cute. Story is entertaining with Japanese VA (Though not everything is voiced). However it is hard to get through some functions, like Dress-up. Because of not having the right attributes with outfits. You need real money to fully enjoy this game. So as a F2P, moving forward can be quite hard. But still enjoyable., while it last.
So I've been playing this for about 5 months now (since launch). The character design & story are the only thing that kept me going. But it's something that won't last long.
Being a F2P is hard in this game, though still can manage to move forward as soon you have more or less a good team. However you need luck (& money) to get SSR Character card you like. The drop rate is really bad! And the limited banners only last for a week. Farming recourses is very hard & takes forever.
It can get boring when all you can do is slowly upgrade your cards & you are in a less active guild. Only the 16 highest guild ranks can play the Game of Claws. So the rest can only do their daily missions. Usually players just chats away at chat board (it goes by in a flash. Especially when someone shared a gift LOL).
This game doesn't care about people different timezones. So you can miss out on lots of cats visits that only comes at certain time of the day (including midnights).
I'll be playing this for a little while longer. Until I get stuck or really bored with it. Or just use it as time filler. But definitely not something I want to play for years.
The graphics & BGM are excellent. It's nice that you can create your own Female lead appearance & modify her voice, the way you like it. The storyline is interesting. Interacting with the guys is fun, while watching their reactions to your touch. There are tons to do & to unlock: Fun mini games, calls, chats, photoshoot, listening to audio files, decorating offices & more.
@The Gacha system. The Pity is lower than in other games (I hope this would never change). Limited gachas pity count won't reset, and will transfer over to the next limited banner. Unfortunately the cost is very high with 1500 diamonds for 10 pulls (or using 10 tickets). Earning diamonds is quite slow. No choice but to skip some, and just go for your favorites. (Time limited cards won't be added to the Permanent pool, so choose wisely).
However, you can have chance getting a 4 or 5 star cards, from Permanent banner pool, for free with the Galaxy Explorer using silver or gold magnets every 8h. Plus you can exchange cards at the shop with crystals you obtained by pulling cards (Cards will rotate monthly).
What's more difficult is upgrading those cards, as you need lots of materials that increases the amount every 10+ level up. You need high grade materials to ascend your cards to lv 60+.
@Combat system. Can be quite hard, reaching at certain level. Especially when don't have the right cards for your team of different colors. It's also hard to clear when you can't fight & or dodge properly The Daily stamina would not be enough as it's only 120. So it can take up 3+ days upgrading 1 card to level 50 at most. After 60 & 80+ gets even harder & longer.
Fortunately there's Auto clear button.
You need to grind for Gold, Soda bottles to level up, dust of different grades (You need a team of lv 50+ if want to grind for SSR materials). So you may find yourself stuck in battles for weeks. Playing on Auto mode won't always help you. Some are so complicated you need to do it manually.
I just play this as a time filler & for the stories. But this is really P2W if you want to achieve something. Especially when you're just a beginner. At least you don't need to grind to many recourses for every single character. The gacha drop rate is not all to bad. You can get plenty of SSR. What's hard to get are the SSR+ & completing event missions on time, as you need to Max out Prosperity and have 3+ doubles. But the game is still entertaining for F2P. Just don't expect to have a great ranking score. But it can be quite repetitive & boring when stuck at stories. Will be playing this for a while until I have enough of it
It's okay I guess, the creature is cute. Bit difficult when you are playing in small erea with less flat surface. You'll get a bit dizzy when it glitches, finding the flat surface again . Plus your phone overheats quickly and your battery drains quicker than the usual platform game. Didn't play it for to long to able to give a full review. I stopped at giving it food This game is not for me. But you can give it a try, just to satisfy your curiosity
Game is cute and fun. Though there are lots of ads to watch to unlock songs, cats, food, at least it's for free. So you can obtain it easily. Plus you can play offline (you can't watch ads offline though)
To be honest, I prefer Duel Links. I like the battle graphics there more. With Master Duel the battles are a bit boring not able to see the cards coming to life. It's just the card itself doing all the fights in 2D. Well I think it was meant to be more realistic with how we battle with the cards IRL But still, I prefer seeing every single one of them popping out of the cards just like the Anime. And interact with the characters. Master is more of a serious battle.
Also the letters are bit hard to read for me. Also need to get use to how to use everything and see where I can find the details. The gameplay is a bit to advance for me (I dislike complicated stuff). I'm a bit confused what to do next, so I just go with the flow. (For me, playing YU-GI-OH on my handheld consoles and PC was far better to understand and more easy to follow). This one, I was already getting bored after a few solo rounds .
This is not really my cup of tea. But it would be more fun if you know what you are doing. And know all the cards well and know how to use them. It been a while since I last play any of this type of game. (The only ones I remember more are the original ones, GX & 5D's. The rest of titles are unknown to me).
So if you're more fanatic of a more serious gameplay of Yu-Gi-Oh! then go for it
Only played the Japanese version for a little bit, but gave up on it because I didn't understand a single thing I was doing Finally they have English version, so I can understand a lot better now.
BTW just heard that they censored and or changed a lot of stuff for Eng version compared to the Japanese version
I'm a F2P and I like this game very much. Been playing this for 2 years or so. The game is actually quite generous compared to other games I ever played. There's a lot for everyone. It's fun playing with raids too. Even though I can't play the most difficult modes, there are still plenty left for me to do. I may not always get lucky in getting the characters I want from gacha, I still get plenty of good dragons and characters. The art and BGM is great too. Though I haven't been playing for a long while, due to being busy. I still come back and play once in a while. Some events would eventually return and you can play that one at your own pace, you can further upgrade your event facilities, etc. etc.
It's a fun game, but they need to fix lots of stuff in this game Game crashes a lot. Updates takes forever as they 1st clean up the old data before the new in-game update begins (it can take hours).
It's hard to collect in-game currency: Magicrystals (Especially when already advanced into the game).
There are way to many gacha banners. You need to collect 200 or more bazaar points when you want to exchange for the themed card. That's like 6k magicrystals per banner (as the bazaar pts only counts on the banner you have pulled. So choose only one banner if you're a F2P)
In order to advance in the game, you really gonna need a strong teams of the same elements. Most Normal routes can be very hard to play even though your team have reached the requirement.
After playing for a long time, building facilities can take hours or even days. So be careful when you need to clear a mission.
