Grindy AF, like worse then Runescape and with practically no real reward... 🤦🏻‍♂️ ...and the plot is like one long arse tutorial on basic social media safety with beautiful graphics and excellent dub, so A+ on turning a boring IT seminar on the pitfalls of Gen Z's world of online-only socializing into a flashy, colourful town with memorable characters... Except that A+ quickly becomes a D-, if not F, when you start trying to get anywhere as it becomes an endless parade of very grindy, repetitive, mediocre fetch quests... Plus a very linear dungeon system that's... Geebus, it is bad 😣 ...Nevertheless, if you're a Millennial, or even a Gen X'r, that's got fond memories of Gaia Online or even Mabinogi, you'll find #Me is akin to drinking water, whereas Gen Z wishing to grow-up from Roblox will feel like they've found a new home; Granted, #Me is still in its early days yet, so I imagine the game will very different a year after this review 😇

...At the end of the day, Gender-Locked Classes, the antithesis of customization, that dictate that men can either hack or bash is essentially nonsensical bullshit and no amount of so-called "lore" can explain this away given how p2w this game is... 🙄

...I mean, I'm not too far (farther on the untranslated, China-only version), but I can definitely say there's quite a lot of filler dialogue still in place that needs to be removed and replaced with the actual/official translated dialogue as well as the occasional untranslated bit here and there, plus a slew of grammatical corrections... Nevertheless, my editorial persnicketiness aside, it's a great, 3D jRPG featuring the art of many beloved "Bara" Artists that I could not recommend more to people 😘
Also, not only is it translated into English, but it is dubbed into English too, which is a most impressive feat these days! 😍

Not only a great game, but like the only other truly Bara game out there aside from Tokyo Afterschool Summoners (which, of course, is made by the same people), but I'm still so disappointed I missed out on being able to help fund this game's proper release outside of Japan years ago (and I really hope they consider trying again, since there's a lot of untranslated potential here).

Great news though is that the initial story arc is in English (albeit with some untranslated bits here and there, like chatting with your comrades at the Tavern) as is most of the initial pay-only side arcs (but plenty of untranslated bits, so there's a lot of inaccessible stuff as a result that just doesn't make sense to me, sadly).

Overall, pretty short in terms of what is in English, but that alone is totally worth playing through, even if you ignore the pay-only side arcs that are translated as well.

#AnimeHairColor ...Depends on whether there's male characters with the same colour hair, because I'll be thinking of them whenever I see that hair colour~ 🤣 Read Note
