a marvelously made game, a game where your input decides the outcome of the game. One can only trembles on the depth of the lore this game had. they even had multiple languages to each country. the BGM resonates with your own playlist. on top of that it's completely free.

Date A Live: Spirit Pledge HD

DateALive HD, where should I start...

TLDR : this one is basically more or less the same as the old client but with new UI design and re-balanced spirits skills and things with all the problem of the old client one with missing old client feature and content drought of any event, 3 months and counting

Long Review : DAL HD is basically a newer more smoother version from the old client one, it had better cleaner UI. let's dissect this one.

the pros : it had better UI, they re-balance the spirits skills so they won't be absolutely broken over powered mess, duplicate from gacha now give extra coin currencies that give quite a good items, simplified items for limit breaking and things.

the bad : I don't know how nor know why but they remove the Date mini-game in a game with the name "Date"ALive and still haven't released it back, absolutely event content drought at current moment it's been 3 months give or take since release yet no major event at all, they again somehow remove the ability to farm materials from stories and now story is just play it once and get 3 star and leave from here no need to return back and with it we lost the ability to farm spirit shard from story as well, they remove the conversion for any inverse stone thingy from normal one, and there's still some glitch in some spirit animation (eg: mayuri 4th/5th normal animation attack had multiple weird white block line coming from the bow shooting animation)

conclusion : at current moment, DAL HD were a mixed bag, if anything it felt like they make this client first to fill it with player and only after that they begin to work on updating the client and the feature. it felt rushed and the game doesn't felt like it's complete and ready to release to public just yet considering many of the old client feature missing in this new HD client... it had better UI sure, they rebuild some spirits skill yes, and they seem to have some good idea on how to improve the game but on other side DAL HD were on a content drought, 3 months and still nothing, and from how long I had to wait to get party on Co-op battle it seem to have dwindling player number as well and that's not counting on many frustrating decisions that they take to remove some ability to farm the spirit shards and many thing that listed on "the bad" section. "how's the gacha?" you said? it's still the same mess from the old client but now with Genshin Impact gacha UI result with Genshin Impact kind of currencies that you get from duplicates. in the end, should you play this? I'll say again from my old client review, if you like DAL then you might like this but be careful for the steep gacha cliff and repetitive farming you had to do, other than that I recommend you don't play this one until they fix all the problems and actually complete the game to what the old client feature had at very minimum.

Date A Live: Spirit Pledge | Global

well... let's not beat around the bush and go honest to the face
how's the graphics? well, good enough. although nothing ground breaking and side-scroller are plenty and many
how's the music? it's ok, it's not bad, though none will leave an impression.
how's the gameplay? it's fine as an Action side-scroller, the animation are plenty, and it's engaging enough.
how's the storyline? well if you read the novel or watch the anime, it'll most likely the same. you won't miss anything
how's the value? ... well, this part is dissapointing. leaving alone the questionable monetization they put here to the brim, it'll reward those who's willing to whale the hell out of it and leave the free one. it have too many currencies and each every aspect of the game have it's own gacha AND it's own currencies. want a character and assist, here's the gacha, you want a so called "limited' one?, well that have another batch and currencies, you want costume? well, if you're willing to farm for months and back you can with a very limited choice but you can gacha it and ofcourse it had it's own banner and it's own currencies. as if all of that wasn't enough, the latest update give a battle pass. YES a Battle pass as if all of the monetization isn't enough.

in conclusion, if you're going to play this you need to understand that this game is Pay your way the game. it you're going to play freely, you may not have a good time, and the farming are annoying, the drop rates are up to the air, the gacha rate are abyssmal, it has energy system to hold you back each every second, it has egregious monetization, it has battle pass, it has annoying balancing of each character, hell I might not reach it yet, but I had a very serious concern with the endgame content as well. if I don't know who's the dev and publisher I won't even question if this game were handled personally by EA.

anyway, if you do play this for the waifu's, do question yourself after playing this for a few week or so, if you're ok with the state of the game and how repetitive it had become after a while, then it's fine, you won't have that much of trouble fitting with the game and may have a strict money spending or have a deep pocket. if not, then don't. there's better game that respect your time and money better than this. don't hurt yourself continuing it.

Blue Oath | Simplified Chinese

in nutshell, Kancolle Arcade with severals tweaks. the gameplay loop is nice, the control are very responsive, NOX compatible, gems ( Premium Currency ) are plenty, and the gacha itself aren't that bad as they give guarantees of getting a SSR ( current highest rank ) character sometimes 2 even, although as a side notice at start, gachas are your best option on getting that good equipments after a while you can get golden rank without needing gachas.

for negative traits, there's some frustrating enemy, making clearing some stages complete pain ( e.g. several unique enemies that was able to target and shot almost in instant and in large AoE, leaving no chance of dodging ) and the need of duplicates to raise character ( could be fixed by giving an universal subtitute )

still it's a good game to kill some time but as it's on CN, language barrier might be problem, try it when it goes global, else you might stuck a bit.

Alice Gear Aegis | Japanese

The game is quite good, here's my take :

pro:
it's fun, the game it self are quite generous and buying gems are completely optional. the OST are good and the CoOP aspect are quite great as well. every Actress ( the characters ) have this special dedication to their design starting from their story, their armors, their best usages and cons, their personality, making them unique to each other, it was great and I applaud their dedication on it.

cons:
well... I did said buying gem are optional, but let's get real, as F2P you'll farm a lot... like quite a lot, you'll need a bit resilient will to keep at it all the times until you get some result and after reaching some point ( at least for now ) it felt like you've seen it all, diminishing a bit will. the rates are... quite questionable, of course if you use gems, you get a special rate-up, so there's that P2W aspect. as such you need to come in terms that you can't always get what you want even after all the farms you did.
