Played : 30th September 2020 - 31st December 2020

Reason : Uninstalled game due to more cutting out mobages for IRL work.

Project Sekai is a good game but many flaws kills the enjoyment.

Graphics:
No doubt this is the best rhythm game graphics I've seen so far, both 3D and 2D are smoothly done. Of course this is Craft Egg after all.

Sound:
ALL songs are imported from vocaloid which of course this is vocaloid theme with human covers with it. Despite a few human covers are good (like Charles) but sometimes it feels falls flat (like Near or Melty Nightmare for example). The songs not only focused on 6 featured virtual singers, but also expand to notable vocaloids like GUMI, AI and even flower in it.

Gameplay:
The charts are designed for advanced and veteran rhythm gamers which sometimes inaccessible for beginner and casual players due to more strict timing than Bandori but you can still enjoy the in the lower levels (Easy - Hard difficulty).

The main flaw is that the event is repetitive and boring which only you collect badges for exchange shop (without merits in it). If you only want 3* card, you need at least full 3-4 days to acquire it in 7-8 days event (at 20k badges) and 7.5k badges for essential items like 300 gems, stamp exchange, small energy drink and music cards so you left only small materials that you get from the multi live. Also the team depends on type and character you assigned in for the event make inaccessible for higher materials in veteran room so not worth for your time and effort you put in it. Thankfully there is no daily mission and only challenge live so you can do anytime.

The cards also needs material again from gacha to gain the stats like skill and gain the ranks. The card leveling also painfully hard only depend on low music sheet to level up and the skill sheet also only acquired in few places like event for example.

Virtual Live is now improving with expands to 100 peoples in it but you must at maximum 15 minutes before go to live or else you wasted your time. In live you must wait 15 minutes again to watch the live only around 6-9 minutes in it for only got 300 gems, sticker and title with in which depend on you (me felt didn't worth it...). The interaction also nice to hear but using existing 3D over and over is start overwhelming, I hope they add another 3D songs spreadly.

Storyline :
The main story is more focused on unit's main conflict in human world rather on virtual singers as moral support which more interesting (in the case is Mafuyu) so the game didn't sell as brand advertising because only Miku in it. Meanwhile the event story more focused on each featured character's past to give more screentime than in the main story so they know further about the character itself. Only main flaw is that virtual singer's personality really over the place and no personality so far but still acceptable as they more act as a part of human emotion and conflict each characters. If you want only focused on virtual singers, you will disappointed eventually as they barely give any character development. But thankfully no one characters I felt are cringe so you can enjoy with in.

Value :
The gacha itself is 3% as around 0.4% *4 pickup cards that allowing you unlock the costume, only one that didn't have costume instead just 'unique' skill that almost the same as no costume 4* cards but they hard to get unless there is a dream fes which double rate up but almost all are permanent so you can get anytime. The spark is reusable now since it will give a ticket for remaining sparks which can use the future banner from now.
The gem distribution is so-so as you will always get from monthly merits, conversation, login and virtual lives although still more gatekeep you from using virtual lives avatar. The more bigger insult is that the dupes will be sent to character rank instead of items that allowed you exchange for materials which is not worth it.

Overall, project sekai is good game if you are already a vocaloid fans or hardcore rhythm gamers that treat this game as main game. If you are casual player who play this as side game you will left behind and bored in it. Thankfully the management is great to listen their fans and still improving to make this game better as it should be.

The game size is now around 4 GB without the voice data as more focused on 3D models and MVs.i

SHOW BY ROCK!! Fes A Live

4.4

Show by rock fes a live is the game that I played since launch and still good although a bit letdown in the later.

Graphics:
Graphics are cute and consistently good which added more anime-style (although they didn't have 'wow' factor like bandori or enstars but regardless still great on their own). UI is also good and cute. Although Live2D is not too smooth but still functional as it is.

Sound:
Their songs for me are the best among the band theme games I've played.

Gameplay:
Actually, their gameplay is pretty casual plus you can put modifier to make them harder and daily quest now fairly easy. But the main problem is that a bit harder to find a dark monster but still easy.

Storyline:
Already reading almost all boy bands and I like their growth as a band from start to end although I want to see them more in the future.

Value:
This game is pretty f2p friendly, you'll get total 1090 melodisians in one week with additional 210 melodisians when there is an event. However main criticism is that the banners are still based on popularity although the SSR rate is 6% but the pick up bromide only 0.6% and spark is pretty weird (220 rolls on pity both each SSR and SR = 39690 melodicians) and currently being overruned by limited seasonal SSRs. I hope Square Enix can go back to permanent banner once again.

The game is currently at 4.50 GB without voice because there are 14 full bands, 8 tie in bands and 165 songs (4 difficulty + 2 lunatic).

Overall, this game still good but I hope Square Enix increase QaL especially f2p.

I felt the game is unfinished or half-assed so kinda disappointed tho.

Graphics:
The artstyle is not too click on me (despite looks good) and surprisingly UI actually decent.
But the main problem that using 3D in conversation talk is kinda off (mainly shu's neck and hair is a bit too big?) and I hope they use Live2D instead (i have not problem in 3Dlive so it's okay i guess).
I hate that they use generic cover art for almost all original song. But also why using logo and card art for 2D while there is no options for chibi.

Sound:
The best songs goes to gyroxia. Believe me.
Otherwise is not bad i guess.

Gameplay:
The daily life part is great (although gatekeep you from finishing live if you don't have strong cards in each team) but the rhythm part is main problem that it lack costumization and annoying swipe notes in middle of slide notes which always break the combo. Also there is no multi live which i guess will be added in future. Beatmaps also felt okay although few of the them are off-sync.

Storyline:
So far I like the character interaction the most. The main story also decent (though I still don't like angst factor in the main story).

Value:
Oh my god. 2.5% rates is okay because it'll balance the best spark in the game (as only saving grace). But the biggest insult is that the navistones has expiration date and it has dupe system for some reason which makes you rolls at least 20 pulls to card plus idolization each card (if you lucky).
I also hate this game eats 4.0 gbs for only 3Dlive sake

I hope DeNa updated these problems in the future so not to disappoint fans any further. Thank you.
