3.8This is a farming simulation game combined with a dating service. In order to match with others you'll have to complete around 20 tasks then the option to swipe left/right will be available(matching, think tinder). When you do manage to match with someone, chat with this person will be blurred out until you verify your age (pretty standard for Japanese dating apps) by uploading an ID or passport. After completing tasks together you unlock parts of their profile while getting to know the person. And if at any point you no longer feel interested you can choose to unmatch with them. It seems you can only have 3 matches at a time.
During the tutorial the bird asks what your purpose is for playing this game (it means Love Garden) the first few options are for the game, for the game and romance, romance, and I think one says for friendship, I forgot. I chose game and romance so all my matches were dudes the same age as me. I've seen same sex couples on the rankings so I think if you select friendship you can match with people the same as you. Not entirely sure though, just based on speculation. Again, you'll have to upload your ID so if your birthday/gender is incorrect you'll be rejected.
if you don't want to upload your ID just dont participate in the matching service. You can still play the game solo if you want.
There is a bug where when you plant crops it'll seem like it is ready but it's not. The error message says something like its too early to harvest. Before you plant each crop it says how long it takes, just like any other farming mobile games. Just realize the time it takes then wait. If you're tired of seeing the message, completely close the app and reopen it.
For me, there seems to be a certain time when you can play. The error message says the time isnt synced so by going back to the title screen, the game hopes a simple restart will fix the problem. I can only play this game at 11pm-3am Japan time. I think it's because it can only be played when your local time syncs with Japan time but I'm not sure because my local time is 4am-8am.
There is also gacha for getting clothes for your avatar. You can gift your matches and vice versa with their gacha items if you want and it raises your points with them. There's a ranking system between yourself and other couples and everyday you can vote on other people.
Overall an interesting concept. I like it, just wish I could play at any time.
