Decent game so fat. But where are my free pulls?!

Nice booty. Great plot. The story is very good too.
Nikke is an original high production value title. Shift up has learned from their previous game and made Nikke a lot less P2W and it's one of the mosr F2P friendly gachas I have ever played. Most day1 players have around 90% SSR collection even as F2P.

Below average ultra P2W gacha with nice characters. No story at all, just and endless tower grinder with extremely unbalanced characters and an insane P2W factor.
Highest gacha rarity is 5 star and it's fairly easy to get. I thought character evolution stops at 10 stars (5 limit breaks), which requires 5 dupes and 6 other 5 star characters. But nope, it goes to at least 15 stars which is probably like 15 dupes and 20 other 5 star characters. As a F2P you will be able to get up to floor 400ish and trial 200ish spamming retries and using different comps, but then you get hard capped by your team's limit break aka how many dupes you get $$.
Characters are diverse and fairly good looking, but there is some absolutely busted sheet like that one healer biotch which every single player even in bronze uses with 5+ limit breaks. She is tankier than any tank and makes even the squishiest tankier than most tanks. And that cwnt is one of the only 2 characters I didn't get wtf... Anyway, unless you get omega lucky to make a full 5+ limit break team with OP characters before you run out of beginners rewards, which btw is extremely unlikely, you better stop playing. There's nothing else you can do. In PvE 1 enemy healer heals entire team more than your whole team's damage, this game has no antiheal (there's some 30% heal reduction joke of a character, still heals more than you can damage), PvP is a joke because you go completely blind with rock-paper-scissor formation unless you can power through.
My suggestion? Use your diamonds early to unlock the 3 "secret" dates (the only kind of story in this game, pretty spicy too) and that's it. Don't expect any more enjoyment, unless you like spamming dailies and getting ground pounded while trying to clear every stage after you hit the hard concrete paywall.

White Island

4.8

Free title with AAA quality.
After all this time, this is still my favorite storytelling game, thanks to its amazing presentation and unintrusive monetization. If you want to provide support, the pricing is decent: only about 1,000 times better value than Genshin, which is definitely not bad, but again, you have free access to the whole story with a time cooldown before unlocking each subsequent chapter. Oh, and no ads.
The plot makes a great thriller and has many layers, which makes it genuinely exciting and unpredictable, unlike some dumb plot twists.
The point and click adventure gameplay feels smooth, makes sense - very little pixel hunting - and it's very well integrated within the story, with the environment changing greatly as the story progresses even within the same chapter.
The art style is dark, yet beautiful. Very consistent quality all throughout. If you love the promo pictures, you'll love the game just as much. The music is nice, lots of sound effects making things more exciting. The only thing missing is character voice acting (besides the screams), but for a point and click adventure, it already delivers a lot more than one would expect.
If you like dark/psychological horror/mystery thriller stories, even if you don't like the gameplay (or any gameplay at all), I greatly recommend White Island!

Game looks nice. Characters look good. Story reminds me of Arknights, but more generic. The combat is simple turn based gacha with RNG skill orbs, but all skills feel useful, unlike in PGR.

DON'T LET THE REVIEW BOMBERS TURN YOU OFF. This game's sound, if nothing else, is an absolute masterpiece and it only has 4/5 eggs, so you might as well add an extra egg to each individual rating to remove the tumor from this game's reviews. The graphics are superb as well, even for today's mobile standards.
In gacha you only draw for weapons, with some giving you characters, similar to SINoALICE. The highest rarity is 4 star, with a 3% rate for non-character and 2% rate for character, out of which 1.5% for featured. Rather than pity, as in most JP gachas, you get 1 token for each draw and you can exchange 200 tokens for a featured character weapon of your choice. Sadly, they don't carry over between gachas and get turned into poop once exchange period is over.
The value for money is only 3 times better than Genshin, which is actually about average for gacha games, but pitifully low in general. No monthly/battle pass. However, the rewards you get for free are amazing. Multiple events each month, each giving you 20 draws worth of currency from stage clear rewards alone. Rather than getting big sums of diamonds for free, you usually get lots of daily login diamond campaigns instead (which stack ontop of each other). That and 20 monthly farmable tickets, you can easily get 100+ draws monthly. With story cleared on normal and having played rather infrequently, I've done almost 600 draws already and got every unit I've wanted except one (fcking 180 draws without a single character, God dammit).
