The concept is great . Forgotten retro video games came back to life as AI with a mission. However, that's the only good thing about it(imho).
Gacha rates is Sega level. Gameplay is not engaging and to be blunt, sleep inducing. Game design isn't friendly to your eyes either with all the flashing and neon lights. Im afraid this game wouldn't last long.
This is a mobile spinoff of the classic Metal Slug. It's a 10 v 10 tower defense game with multiple mechanics. You can just auto the whole game but high end pvp requires manual and matchup knowledge. A meta that changes every week, powerful weekly event units that mostly become irrelevant the next week, weekly new free and paid characters that give a new pvp strats to one of the five factions or just mixed deck, the powercreep of this game feels very agressive. Because of that, newer accounts will have more advantage than the older ones. At the same time, game is generous enough to stick to your old account. Game is already on it's 6th year. It might reach 10 year at this rate. Overall, a good game to play once in a blue moon.
Not a review. Just want to add it on my profile because its made by few key members of Suikoden developers. I wish I can understand the story.
I've been going in and out on this game for almost a year now. It's an mmo with very huge maps, open worldish. Real time turn based which requires you to coordinate with other players. Game is coop heavy, pvp is almost irrelevant. Aside from your character, you can also create and build your sidekick, which is very if you prefer to play solo. Great and active community.
