Okay, it's finally here!!! Review of Madoka Star Ra- I mean. Madoka Magica Magia Exedra! [鬼臉]

First and foremost, this game requires vpn!! I use VPN gate client personally.

Story: If you're familiar with madoka, it's basically that, but instead, you're a shadow person who's looking at the story through collecting fragments. So far so good [開心]

Gameplay: Standard turn based rpg game. If you played star rail then you know how to play this one [睡覺] ( Exedra can have 5-person teams tho) Besides the combat, the stages feel more linear than star rail imo. While you can choose to go in different directions, it's not a free area like star rail [不滿]

Graphics: Good. Nothing too eye-catching so far. The 2d sprites are sooo cute [色色] Although I will say the combat animations feel a little more stiff than I would like it to be [可憐] and also the fact they reuse the scene in the anime as CGs is a little bit.. [暈]

Gacha: Gaurantee 5 star in first ten pull other than that it's just another normal gacha system

tldr : average turn based rpg game. Play if you like madoka magica. Skip if you dont care about madoka.

OK GUYS, DAY 1 REVIEW!!

if you want a tldr, this game is 70% idoly pride and 30% shinymas.

Graphics:

the graphics really remind me of idoly pride(same dev studio i think?), which is a good thing because idoly pride graphics are really beautiful. [色色]

Gameplay:

You produce the idol! Raise their stats to pass the test! [哇噻] ( IMPORTANT!! look at the chart on the upper right corner of the screen to raise the stats accordingly!!) From my experience, you probably need to pull a lot of support cards to get an S rank idol and place 1st in the tests. [可憐]

The idols actually "grow" according to your rank. They sing and dance nicer, and have a bigger stage. If you fail the tests, the idol will sing in the training room instead. [大哭]

Music:

In my opinion, it's good. Nothing groundbreaking, but pleasing to listen to. [微笑]

Gacha:

a ten pull costs 2500 gems. ssr rates are 5% with a 200 pity. It's alright, better than some games.

Storyline:

Haven't read that yet, so I won't comment on it.

Overall:

It's a good game [開心] ! The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is refreshing,good music, and cute idols! If you like idoly pride , shinymas , uma musume type games, then you'll probably like this one. [微笑]

AS MUCH AS I LOVE PRIPARA , THIS GAME IS SUPER UNDERWHELMING COMPARED TO OTHER RHYTHM GAMES AND THE TIME WE WAITED FOR IT.

waiting three years for this game is not worth. heres why:

1. the models of the game are likely direct copies from the 3ds/switch version, but it looks even worse. if your mychara is of a darker skintone, the cyalume change makes your skin look orange ?? how does this even happen.

2. MOST THINGS ARE LOCKED BEHIND A PAYWALL. i dont need to explain why this is bad,if you dont spend money you can only play 5 songs and the rest are paid. you can't get the outfits that the characters worn and you can't even take pictures in the studio without paying for the premium pass.

3. you have to wait to get in the game. because the server of this game is absolute trash, you have to wait in line to play the game , even if you can enter it , the game itself is so laggy and slow that the character models present in the plaza take literally ages to load.

4. the gameplay is not fun. if you dont spend money, you basically only do 1 thing when you play this game: play the promise live or photoshoot mode. you do this over and over again until you buy the few free clothing in the shop. there's nothing to do besides playing the same 5 songs over and over again. even if you spend money, the gameplay doesn't get more fun, you just have more songs to play and clothes to wear, the cycle is the same.

5. gacha. this game has a gacha system. but it's only for players who pay money. you get 4 gacha tickets from the pre registration reward, after that its no more until you pay up.

overall, not worth your time and phone storage. if you really want to play, play the 3ds or switch versions instead.
